2022 Wedding Trends!

We are so excited for the 2022 wedding season here in Colorado, that I decided to look into what is IN and what is OUT this season. However, we are always big fans of you doing you. Nothing makes an event, or wedding, more special than personalized touches that mean something to the hosts. For our wedding, I used a literary theme (think library catalogs with typed seating cards that had some of my favorite quotes about love) at an old ranch here in Colorado—shout out to Harmels in Almont! Something that was also important to us was being outside with everyone we loved. We saw a ton of cool stuff at the weddings in 2021—every single event was so special and unique!

So, back to 2022’s wedding trends!

Here is what Vogue is saying:

What’s In:

1. Themed Parties—this sounds super fun!

2. Silver (instead of gold) touches

3. Wallpaper accent walls (I am currently installing wallpaper in my home!)

4. Big, blow-out weddings (we like small and intimate still, too!)

5. Open Air Tents

6. Surprise! Specialty bars are STILL an IN thing! Mobile bars make such a statement!

7. Hanging florals—we know some great florists in this area that can do anything!

8. The long wedding weekend—yes, please! We did a brunch and whitewater rafting the next day

What’s Out:

1. Family Style Meals (ugh, this is actually a favorite of mine!)

2. Muted color schemes

3. Multiple Toasts at the reception (maybe doing speeches the night before?)

4. Twinkle light ceilings

5. Overly packed welcome bags

We absolutely can’t wait to see what our 2022 couples end up doing this year!
